New Flush Mitred Portlight

Boat styling right now is focused on an uncluttered angular look. For portlights this means very tight radiuses and sharp corners.

Lewmars new flush mitred portlight makes an appearance on Bavarias latest Cruiser range.

Lewmar started working with OEM builders last season to provide the angular styling and aesthetics they were looking for in a portlight design. The result is Lewmars new flush mitred portlight. By moving away from a bent radius, it developed a production technique for making four mitred and welded joints. The first boats using Lewmars new portlight were launched this summer including the latest Azimut 38 and Bavarias new cruiser. Lewmar worked with Azimut to create a flush mitred portlight for its brand new 38 footer.

Frames are black powered coated to minimise the existence of the joints to give a very rectangular look and a very sharp set of lines. Although not directly replaceable because of the different corner radii, they are available in Lewmars standard sizes of 0, 1 and 4. There is a choice of gangster dark grey or regular grey acrylic.
