Sales / Account Management Vacancies
Lewmar is in an exciting phase of its development within the Marine Sector and as such is looking to fill an existing vacancy within the sales department of the company.
Your responsibility will include managing major German OEM accounts and developing business in Germany and neighbouring countries.
Benefits include a salary range of £35k-£40k as well as pension contributions and performance bonus/ Sales commissions.
It is likely that you will be degree qualified in a technical or business discipline and have gained experience in a business to business environment in the marine sector or other technical product.
The position is based at Lewmar UK headquarter and will require frequent European travel. As such international experience and fluent German language skills both written and spoken is essential.

Hydraulic System Designer
The systems design team at Lewmar are responsible for design and support of systems that power and control Lewmar products
We are looking for a Hydraulics System Designer to join this very busy team with prospects of broadening their skills base and experience.
Primarily designing and developing hydraulic systems for custom built yachts, you will take projects from initial design specifications, having responsibility for new circuit design of custom hydraulic circuits and ensuring that they are perfectly matched to applications on the yacht.
The designs will involve the selection of both fixed and variable displacement pumps, and specification of motors and valves to suit each application. You will be familiar with hydraulic reservoir design, using both AC and DC mounted pump motors. You will be able to calculate circuit performance and create a cost effective solution.
We would like you to be educated to Degree / HNC level in mechanical engineering with further training and qualifications in hydraulics. You are likely to have a background in mobile and/or industrial hydraulics, modular industrial valves, proportional load sense valves and pumps mounted to engine power take off.
You must be used to working to tight deadlines, and have the flexibility to manage several projects at one time.
The design process will be CAD based, so you should have an excellent understanding of AutoCAD and some exposure to 3D CAD would be preferential. You will also be involved with keeping modification control and utilising modern design office practices.
Alongside trouble-shooting of existing systems, you will be expected to carry out testing of newly designed systems within our in-house test facility and, at times, short periods of overseas travel may be required.
Your starting salary will be commensurate to your skill level and will be competitive. Benefits will include 25-days annual holiday and a company pension scheme will be offered after a probationary period.

Systems Design Engineer
The Systems design team at Lewmar are responsible for design and support of systems which power and control Lewmar products.
We are looking for an engineer to join this team with prospects to broaden their skills base and experience
- Reporting to the Head of Design and working with senior design engineer with creation of system & control specifications, create designs and provide support through production, test and commissioning which includes opportunities to travel.
- Creation and maintenance of product documentation
- Technical support of existing products including on site troubleshooting with customer.
- Liaising with sub-contractors
Candidate would be:
- 1-5 years post graduate industry experience
- HND/Degree showing some specialisation in Electrical controls/automation with mechanical aspects
- Able to troubleshoot and modify or repair electrical circuits
- AutoCAD (2D)
- Microsoft office
- Experience of PCB design & components
- Mechanical aptitude with hands on ability
- Familiarity of Programmable Logic Controllers
- Knowledge/experience of boats
- Knowledge of hydraulics
- Experience of 3D CAD
Starting salary is dependent on previous experience. Benefit includes 25-day annual holiday
