Mechanical Design Engineer  

What we're looking for and what you should be able to do…

A skilled, degree qualified Mechanical Engineering, preferably with experience of highly loaded, slow moving, gear driven mechanisms

Minimum 3 years post graduate industry experience

A ProE (Creo2) user, highly skilled in generating complex 3D model assemblies and creating accurate, well toleranced, 2D production drawings

Possess a proven track record of successfully delivering development projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Taking projects from concepts to production

Good knowledge of gears, bearings and materials

Maintain project documentation, create accurate BOM's and continually assess timelines

Established in creating robust designs and developing innovative products, mechanisms and devices

Detailed design and engineering analysis of components, mechanisms and assemblies for low volume manufacture

Competent when designing parts for casting, machining and fabrication in a variety of materials

Enjoy building and assembling initial schemes, proof of principle models and prototypes

Keen to identify and propose improvements to existing products and manufacturing techniques

Design Engineer  

What we're looking for and what you should be able to do…

Preferably degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or possesses a HNC/HND qualification

Minimum 3 years post graduate industry experience

Wanting that next career move and can demonstrate a good understanding of engineering a product from ground up, manufacturing techniques and materials choice

Proficient in generating 3D model assemblies and creating accurate, well toleranced, 2D production drawings using ProE (Creo2) or similar

Good at maintaining project documentation, adhering to timelines and creating BOM's

Competent when design parts for castings, machining, injection mouldings, extrusions and fabrication in a variety of materials

Enjoy building and assembling initial schemes, proof of principle models and prototypes

Keen to identify and propose improvements to existing products and carry out modifications

German Sales / Account Management

Lewmar is in an exciting phase of its development within the Marine Sector and as such is looking to fill an existing vacancy within the sales department of the company. 

Your responsibility will include managing major German OEM accounts and developing business in Germany and neighbouring countries.    

B enefits include a salary rang Benefits include a salary range of £35k-£40k as well as pension contributions and performance bonus/ Sales commissions.

It is likely that you will be degree qualified in a technical or business discipline and have gained experience in a business to business environment in the marine sector or other technical product.

The position is based at Lewmar UK headquarter and will require frequent European travel. As such international experience and fluent German language skills both written and spoken is essential.
