Lewmar Shortlisted for Made in Britain Heritage Manufacturer Award 2026

We are proud to announce that Lewmar has been shortlisted for the Made in Britain Heritage Manufacturer Award 2026, recognising our long-standing contribution to British manufacturing and engineering excellence.

While we're honoured by the recognition, what makes this achievement particularly meaningful is what it represents for the customers, boat builders and sailors who have trusted Lewmar products for generations.

For 80 years, Lewmar has been designing and manufacturing equipment that helps people enjoy their time on the water with confidence. From anchors and hatches to winches, steering systems and thrusters, our products have become a familiar sight on vessels all over the world.

The marine industry has changed dramatically since Lewmar was founded in 1946, but our approach has remained remarkably consistent. We believe in designing products that solve real challenges on the water, building them to last, and continuously improving them through innovation and engineering expertise.

Being shortlisted for this award is recognition not only of our heritage, but of our commitment to carrying that heritage forward. The trust that boat owners place in Lewmar today has been earned over decades of product development, manufacturing expertise and close collaboration with boat builders and marine professionals.

Our history gives us experience, but it also gives us responsibility. We know that customers choose Lewmar because they need products they can rely on when conditions become challenging. That expectation drives us to continue investing in new technologies, new product development and improved customer experiences while staying true to the values that have shaped the business for generations.

This recognition would not be possible without the dedication of our employees, the loyalty of our customers, and the support of our partners and suppliers around the world. Together, they have helped build Lewmar into one of the most recognised and trusted names in marine equipment.

As we look ahead, we remain focused on the same goal that has guided us for eight decades: helping people enjoy safer, more enjoyable experiences on the water through innovative, dependable marine products.

We would like to thank Made in Britain for this recognition and congratulate all the companies shortlisted for the award. We look forward to the next stage of the judging process.
